ABOUT
Merismos Counseling Center is a non-denominational spiritual, mental, and emotional health and wellness counseling service. We provide Evidenced-based counseling techniques, interventions, and therapeutic modalities within this counseling practice such as Trauma-Focused, Trauma-Informed, Cognitive Behavioral, Experiential, and Expressive Arts integrated with one’s Faith to assist with the process of transforming mind, body, soul, and spirit.
Merismos’ foundational and fundamental principles and teachings are about the renewing of your mind and the transformation of the heart as stated in Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” This scripture aligns with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) counseling modality and mirrors the underlying premise of evidenced-based CBT, which also seeks to bring about healthy and positive changes in one’s perception, thinking patterns and behavioral change.
